Felipe Jiménez-Aspee, Ph.D.

My Research

My research has been focused on the isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites from food and plant sources, including native species from Chile and Argentina.

My current research project is dedicated to evaluate the bioavailability, metabolism, excretion and bioactivity of secondary metabolites as potential lead compounds in the development of new drug therapies. This project is part of a Postdoc supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jan Frank.
